Many Town of Dane and area roads are narrow and shaded with curves and hills, and can be very dark on cloudy days or at dusk. For your safety and that of drivers, when walking or biking, please wear clothing that is highly visible. A bright reflective vest or jacket is recommended, or one of high visibility yellow or orange. Bicycles should also have front and rear lights. Note: Per WI Statute 346.28,  pedestrians must always walk on the left hand side of the road. Bicycles operate under the same laws as other legal vehicles on the road and should always stay on the right side of the road.
