Spring Election Information

The next election is the Spring Election on April 7, 2026

Town of Dane Residents only, voting at the Dane Town Hall, 213 W. Main St, Dane WI 53529.
Voting hours are 7 AM to 8 PM.
The Town Hall is accessible for those with disabilities and curbside voting is also available.
Photo ID required to vote, and Same Day Voter Registration is available with proper Proof of Residence.

Absentee voting information: 

Type-E-Notice-2026-Spring-Election

You may request a mailed absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov for this election or all 2026 elections (calendar year).  Please Note- all calendar year 2025 absentee ballot requests have expired, please renew your request. Ballots for requests already on file willl be mailed by March 17. 

PLEASE request your absentee ballot for the Spring Election NO LATER THAN MARCH 20.  If your photo ID is not on file you will be asked to upload a copy of your photo ID.  Please mail your absentee ballot back NO LATER THAN MARCH 30! Ballots MUST arrive by Election Day, April 7.  USPS new procedures mean that you should request your absentee ballot at least 2-3 weeks prior to the election and should mail it back promptly!

In-person absentee voting will take place at the Dane Town Hall from March 24 through April 5.  Photo ID is required. By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365.  Appointments usually available from 11 AM to 4 PM daily.

Voter Registration Information:

•    Check your voter registration status at myvote.wi.gov. 
•    The online and by mail registration deadline is March 18.
•    You may register to vote in the Clerk’s Office with proper proof of residence until 5 PM on April 3.  By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365. Appointments available from 11 AM to 4 PM daily.
•    You may register to vote at the polls on Election Day with proper Proof of Residence.
