Information for the General and Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5.

The General and Presidential Election is Tuesday, November 5. You will be voting on US President, US Senate, US House, State Assembly, and several county offices, also a non-partisan election for County Executive and a State Referendum on an Amendment to the State Constitution.  Note-Waunakee School District Voters also have a School Referendum.

All voting for Town of Dane residents will be at the Dane Town Hall, 213 W. Main Street, Dane WI 53529 from 7 AM until 8 PM. Photo ID is required for all voters. 

The polling place is accessible and curbside voting is available for voters unable to enter the polling place due to disability.

Absentee voting information:

  • Absentee ballots for all requests on file have been mailed. You may request a mailed absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov.  If your photo ID is not on file you will be asked to upload a copy of your photo ID.  Please make your request by October 21 to allow enough time to receive your ballot and mail it back.
  • In-person absentee voting will take place at the Dane Town Hall from October 22 through November 3, 2024. Photo ID is required. By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365.  

Voter Registration Information:

•    If you have moved to a new address on or before October 8, 2024 you must register to vote at the new address, even if your old address was also in the Town of Dane.  
•    The deadline to register to vote online is October 16, 2024. You may register to vote online at myvote.wi.gov if your Wisconsin Driver’s License or ID has your current address. You may register to vote in the Clerk’s Office with proper Proof of Residence until 5 PM on October 31, 2024.  By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365. 
•    You may register to vote at the polls on Election Day with proper Proof of Residence.
