Welcome to the Town of Dane Website!
The Town of Dane is located in Northwestern Dane County, bordered by Columbia County (Town of Lodi) to the North, the Town of Vienna to the East, the Town of Roxbury to the West and the Town of Springfield to the South. The population of the Town of Dane in the 2010 census was 990 and the current 2015 estimate is 1003. Three school districts provide public school services: Lodi, Waunakee and Sauk Prairie.

The Town is served by the Dane/Vienna Fire District (www.danefire.com); and Lodi Area EMS (lodiems.com) and Waunakee Area EMS (www.waems.net).

The Waunakee Senior Center serves as our Area Agency on Aging focal point for Senior Services (www.waunakee.com/seniorcenter).
The Town is served by the Lodi Women's Club Public Library (www.lodipubliclibrary.org).
A large part of the scenic Lodi Marsh State Wildlife Area is located in the Town of Dane, and a segment of the Ice Age Trail is located in the Town of Dane and crosses the marsh. Most of the Town of Dane is in the Lake Wisconsin Watershed (see map).
