Information on the August 13, 2024 Partisan Primary

The Partisan Primary is Tuesday, August 13 (with an additional non-partisan primary for County Executive and two State Referendums on Changes to the State Constitution). All voting for Town of Dane residents will be at the Dane Town Hall, 213 W. Main Street, Dane WI 53529 from 7 AM until 8 PM. Photo ID is required for all voters.  Notice of Location and Hours of Polling Places

The polling place is accessible and curbside voting is available for voters unable to enter the polling place due to disability.

Absentee voting information: Notice of Absentee Voting
•    In-person absentee voting will take place at the Dane Town Hall from July 30  through August 11, 2024. Photo ID is required. By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365.  
•    Absentee ballots for requests on file have been mailed and should be received by July 3. You may request a mailed absentee ballot at for the August 13  and/or the November 5, 2024 election.  If your photo ID is not on file you will be asked to upload a copy of your photo ID.   
•    Please Note- all calendar year 2023 absentee ballot requests have expired, please renew your request, or request an absentee ballot for the August 13 and/or the November 5, 2024 election at

Voter Registration Information:

•    If you have moved to a new address on or before July 16, 2024 you must register to vote at the new address, even if your old address was also in the Town of Dane.  
•    The deadline to register to vote online is July 24, 2024. You may register to vote online at if your Wisconsin Driver’s License or ID has your current address. You may register to vote in the Clerk’s Office with proper Proof of Residence until 5 PM on August 9, 2024.  By appointment only, call or text the Clerk at 608-575-3365. 
•    You may register to vote at the polls on Election Day with proper Proof of Residence.
