Information for the April 4, 2023 Spring Election

The Spring Election is April 4, 2023. On the ballot will be State Supreme Court, School Boards, Dane Town Board and Appeals Court judge, plus Dane County and State referendums.  Election Day polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Early voting will be March 21 through April 2, by appointment only, call the Clerk at 608-575-3365. In-Person voter registration available until March 31.

All voting is at the Dane Town Hall, 213 W. Main St., Dane WI 53529. Photo ID is required to vote in person, either during the early voting period or at the polls on Election Day.

As of March 14, 2023, ballots have been mailed to all voters with an absentee request on file. You may request a mailed absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov. Your photo ID is already on file if you voted absentee by mail in the past (except indefinitely confined voters).  Please make your request no later than March 21, 2023.

Please mail your absentee ballot back as soon as possible and follow all the instructions carefully! Mail by March 28 to arrive by Election Day. Late arriving ballots will not be counted.

Pursuant to the Voting Rights Act, any Wisconsin voter who requires assistance with mailing or delivering their absentee ballot to the municipal clerk because of a disability must be permitted to receive such assistance by a person of the voter’s choice, other than the voter’s employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter’s union.
